Central to the success of the production is Jody Baran and his familyas well as the talented Kupanaha Dancers. Prepare to be spellbound as Kupanaha sweeps you into the amazing world of Jody and Kathleen Baran. Marvel in the magic for all ages where Hawaiian history and myth are woven together with illusion, hula costumes, and fun effects all while enjoying a gourmet dining experience.
From the intimate setting of the 180 seat Kanahele Showroom, Jody Baran with his family cast and crew, tell of the history and myth of Hawaii in this amazing production.

Jody Baran started performing at 5, received his first award for magic at 10, and by 16 jumped into a full time career in show business. He's a world traveler (proof that magic can transport you) who's had his own production company in L.A., worked with iconic companies like Disney and Six Flags, entertained a who's who of celebrities and heads of state, and created world-class illusions for numerous magicians and illusionists. Then, he fell for the magic of Kathleen Pomeroy.

It was love at first sight. And in a classic case of life imitating art, he found the girl of his dreams with daughters of her own. Together this group formed their magical family: The Baran Bunch!

After over a decade together, the story telling visual magic of Jody Baran and his family brings audiences to their feet night after night. They share their love for entertainment and each other with the crowds who love them!

Together, Jody and Kathleen Baran have impressed audiences, toured major cities and foreign countries with their brand of dazzling magic. Kathleen's natural style, talent, grace, charisma, and captivating beauty make her the star of the Kupanaha show supplying feminine beauty and sheer artistry to every performance.

To witness the Kupanaha Dancers is to appreciate the true beauty of Hawaii's contribution to the world of dance. Under the direction of noted Kumu Hula Dal Aricayos, the gifted adults express the magic of Hawaiian demigods through song, chant, and dance, all woven seamlessly with miraculous illusions by Maui's master of illusion, Jody Baran.

The Kumu's vision is to share the accuracy of our legends and stories with our visitors. People are sometimes misled without enough information to understand the historical myths. With Kupanaha, Maui magic for all ages, our guests will receive an accurate story through chant and hula. Our tales of the extraordinary add to the magic and make the experience authentic .

Evening Program
4:30 pm - Check in Lobby of Kaanapali Beach Hotel
4:45 pm - Entrance into the Kanahele Room & mai tai greeting
5:00 pm - Dinner service, tableside magic, pre-show hula, open bar including beer, wine, soft drinks, & mai tais
6:00 pm - Show begins
7:45 pm - Finale and aloha show

GOLD CIRCLE - Gold Circle premium seating, one price applies for all seats regardless of age.

GENERAL SEATING - General seating begins at the second row from the front. General seating offers special pricing for children 6-12 and teens 13-20. One child under six is free with each full paying adult.

Starters
Salad
Sustainable baby field garden greens, radish, tomatoes, carrots, red cabbage, croutons, cucumbers and house made sesame soy dressing or lemon-garlic vinaigrette
Rice Pilaf
Prepared with homemade chicken stock and served with green onions and mushrooms
 
Main Course
Grilled boneless Kalbi short rib steak
Flavorful and tasty boneless short ribs marinated in sweet ginger soy and sesame marinade then grilled over an open flame and sliced. Served over shredded green cabbage.

Grilled garlic chicken
Boneless chicken marinated in a blend of garlic, herbs, and spices then grilled and sliced. Served over a blend of grilled asparagus.

Orange stir-fry with shrimp
Stir-fry of sustainable island vegetables which includes broccoli, bok choy, Maui onions, shiitake mushrooms, snow peas, and peppers in a flavorful orange sauce.

Wok fried salmon
Tossed in seasoned tapioca flour and wok fried with lemon ponzu sauce, wasabi chive oil, and tomato relish.

Maui Gold pinacolada cheese cake with caramelized pineapples
