Family Surfing & SUP Lessons

Get ready for an unforgettable time in the water as you enjoy a Maui surfing lesson, acclaimed by local and visiting kids as their favorite Maui activity!  Maui Wave Riders has been instructing people of all ages and skill levels on how to surf the Maui waves, and are experts with kids and families! Lessons are available in Kihei and last 90-120 minutes.  You can choose between a group, private or semi-private lesson, for a more personalized experience.  No matter your choice, we know you'll have a wonderful time!

Surfing Lessons:  Learn how to surf and go home bragging about having surfed in Hawaii!  Your lesson will last 2 hours with 10-15 minutes on dry land where you'll learn the basics of surfing and ocean safety. The remainder will be spent on the water with your instructor.  
Restrictions: Group Lessons - Minimum age: 10 Semi-Private & Private lessons allow for children as young as 2, at parents' discretion

Stand-Up Paddle Surfing Lessons:  Experience the newest and most popular way to surf! Your lesson will last 1.5 hours and include a rash guard, reef booties and the SUP equipment.
Restrictions: Group Lessons - Minimum age: 10 Semi-Private & Private lessons allow for children younger children, at parents' discretion.
